While simulating the structure using HFSS, we use PEC-PMC boundary conditions along with wave ports. Could you suggest some links where i can read up on PEC-PMC boundary conditions and its implications?

Thanks.

Better to use Floquet Ports and Master Slave boundaries. HFSS does these well and fast this way. See tutorial for getting started guide of unit cell setup.

have fun

Tried using that also...Thanks..But I wish to know what the Master-slave boundaries/ PEC-PMC boundaries which are refered in the manual or paper mean...their implications and conditions under which the simulations are being performed...Just to have a better idea..

Thanks.

hi jillu
i suggested u this paper "MICROSTRIP ANTENNA'S GAIN ENHANCEMENT US-ING LEFT-HANDED METAMATERIAL STRUCTURE" by H. A. Majid, M. K. A. Rahim, and T. Masri in Progress In Electromagnetics Research M, Vol. 8, 235-247, 2009

Can you send me a example file of SRR with floquet port ......i am not getting the correct phase while magnitude is same.......
