Thermistor is used to measure low range temperature [-90 to 130 deg] with good precision... Thermistor is different from RTD where RTD is used measure high range temperature...
Normally polymer or ceramic material is used for thermistor where in the case of RTD use pure metals... The working principle of Thermistor is change in Resistance is directly proportional to change in temperature if it has Positive Temperature Coefficient [PTC] or the change in Resistance is inversely proportional to change in temperature if it has Negative Temperature Coefficient [NTC]..
