Hai experts
i made multipic 5.2 programmer . first i programmed and read without fail both ics that (pic16f84a and 16f877a )
again i tried but some time 16f84a can be program
but 16f877 not.
it shows on Picpgm . verify error '
i tried winpic,winpic800 and pony prog
No escaping
please help me

the circuit is **broken link removed**

sir sorry i didnt get where i or which pins i connect the multimeter probe to measure
please help me
thanking you

Ok,
Vpp pin of the 16F877A is the pin 1. (you may see Pin Diagram in the datasheet)
Connect your multimeter +ve(red) probe to that pin 1 and -ve(black) to ground of the programmer circuit. Then program the PIC with your software. While it write your code in PIC, you should see about 13V in multimeter.

(don't forget to select proper voltage measuring range in multimeter !!!)
Thanks

HAI sir
the voltage at pin 1 is 13 volts

sir the voltage at the pin 1 is 13v (only when read or program )
please reply

Hi,
Check supply voltage(Vdd) to PIC on pin_11, it should be 5V;
Also check other wiring, specially near pin 39 & 40.

Programmer has a switch to select 40pin & 18pin PICs; If it was not selected correctly PIC may be damaged. (wish you didn't ) However it's better to try using another programmer-circuit, that will ensure your 16F877A is good.

Hope this helps you,

sir the vdd with respect to ground voltage is only 4.8 v only
is it enough ?

some times even i get that message i am using jdm programmer old one ...don't worry... the hex file will be loaded in pic ...ignore the error...

does it give any error while programming pic???

what i feel is better you built a pickit2 clone.. just search here you can get a lot of designs with pcb layout and firmware....

Hi,

Nice !
How did you correct it ?

---------- Post added at 23:34 ---------- Previous post was at 23:32 ----------

However if you proceed on the way of PIC programming you must need "Debuggers". You can easily build Pickit2.

the serial port pin connection problem the wire is not connected well
through checking the voltage according to you some time it was missing
after i checked and re soldered the serial wire

i thanks for your valuable teaching thanks
