I want to know the pin no. of 16 Segment display module which is shown here (Proteus). If somebody could name the pins it will be helpful.

first of all check it whether its common cathode or common anode and then by using a 5 volt source with 230 ohm resistor.

zia it is a common Cathode 16 segment display. I have to connect it to MAX6955/4. I want to know which segment connect to which pin. Should I connect each pin of the segment display it to 2V using a current limiting resistor and check which segments glow for which pin? It has 16 + 2 pins. All I know is 16 pins is for 16 segments and 1 pin is for DP and 1 pin for CC pin. Am I right?

yes, u are right. it will be better to try at 5v with 230 ohm current limiting resistor.

If there is no other possibility to see/read pins configurations, connect voltage to each pin by pin and see what segment will be on.

Hi
Some devices in real are different with its proteus model...is it true about this segment?
you can find pins with a 5v source easily...

hi zia, I bought a 16 segment ( alpha numeric / character )display. in that it has only 16 pins(top and bottom) (its number is VTCAALP) I didn't find any datasheet in the internet. by checking with the multimeter, I identified that it is common anode. ie the pin which is horizontally opposite side to the DP segment while viewing from its front side is common anode. by connecting the DMM positive LEAD to that CA pin and negative lead to some other pins only A1A2,G1G2,D1D2 are glowing but not other segments. what to do give me some clue to glow it. I need to interface it with 8051 microcontroller I will be very thank full to you...........................

hi may u show it picture. have you check another 16 segment of same number. it may b possible that segents are damaged.
