It is a car rectifier which can be used as an accumulator charger. The rectifier can provide up to 11A of current.

The base was made of plywood with dimensions: 230 x 270 x 10mm. If you wish, it can be smaller, but remember that all the elements should fit. Front and rear wall were made of plexiglass with dimensions: 230 x 125 x 4mm. This material was used due to its easy processing and nice look.

Powerful rectifying diodes and thyristors were mounted on two heat sinks 5x7x2. At 10A of current with turned on fan (80x80mm) temperature is okay.

Toroid transformer has 200VA power, 17V voltage when loaded, 11,1A current and it weights 2 kg. It heats up significantly, but is placed in the passage of cold air to the heat sinks.

Metal housing was made of tin covered sheet metal (0,5mm thick).

The rectifier is equipped with a 2m long power cord (0,75mm^) and output cables with a length of 1,5m and 2,5mm^.

The entire device weights about 3,5kg. Metal housing was grounded.

It is equipped with reverse polarity protection, short circuit protection, overload protection of the accumulator, transformer thermal protection at 85 degrees Celsius.
