12V from 10V

Hello All

I have a sensor which needs 12V. But i have only 10V source. Is there any way to get 12V from 10V source.

12V from 10V

Hi,
You can use a voltage doubler with 555 followed by a 7812. Or you can use a boost IC from Maxim.

Also look at the simpleswitcher series from National Semiconductor. For a sensor, I suspect you can use a device with an internal switch, it is much easier.
