Hello,
I wish to design an adapter which provides constant 12V 1A DC output without using AC step down transformer.I saw many circuits online but I am confused as to which circuit should I use because there are few components which are not easily available in the market. Could anyone suggest a possible solution to this problem?

Any simpler circuit for the supply of 12V to be developed?

you have to do step down. as there might be no any readymade solution would be there that can convert full phase ac to 12vdc. or if it exists it would be too costly.
also you might note that you need to use bridge rectifier. a ful bridge rectfier multiplies voltages by factor of 1.41 so a 230 vac will be stepped up to 324 vdc after rectifying. so you have to step down 324vdc to 12vdc using some dc dc converters. search for element14.com if any available. hence you can not buy from that site without registering as a company on that site.
