gsm module interface

what you need to know is to learn microcontroller serial communication. normally for simple interface with gsm module just used tx,rx and gnd...gud luck

gsm modem microcontroller

Hi,

Do you have the datasheet of the GSM modem which contains the protocol to be followed?

gsm interface with microcontroller

gsm module just used tx,rx and gnd

it is ok , but i think it need initiation process . to configure it according to the your use.

There are some modems' which support RS 232 transmission. You may be interested in this **broken link removed**.

i have this modem **broken link removed**, and i want to connect it to a easypic 4(wich has a pic16f877) board.I can communicate with the modem and send to it AT commands only if before i connect the modem to pc with the terminal and i DON"T close the connection, i just remove the serial cable from the pc and connect it to the board. it's certain that it's about the initialization of the connection between devices. how does hyperterminal do that? can anyone help me pls?

Pls, i need help. Can anyone help me what i should do to connect my siemens C55 phone to my PC using serial port DB9 and hyperterminal.

When ever i connect it using a max 232 data cable, either the phone goes off or it shows network search.
Pls i am desperate.
