Hi Readers,
I assembled a list of 10 common interconnect design mistakes engineers should be aware of and avoid. Many of these mistakes I painfully made over the course of my career. You will see some of the simplest most overlooked details can lead to disaster. I have been burnt a couple of times by not realizing the pin grid array pattern on the PCB was to be the mirror of the specification. I have had and still do have customers who cannot understand why their .025" square post pin cannot fit inside a socket receptacle that can only accept up to .025". Sending a customer tin plated parts when they expect tin/lead plating can be a disaster of the highest magnitude. I hope this presentation helps you avoid any of these oversights. I will expand on this list over time.
If you have any questions, please ask me, I will be happy to help you. Below is a video presentation and below it is a link to download a hardcopy PDF.
Kind Regards,
Marty
