0-50v

Hi all!

Need a 0-50V, 0-5A adjustable linear power supply. This PSU will be used to power an UPS to be fixed in place of the battery bank.

Regards,

Fernando

Hi fernando

Try this at h++p://www.a-and-t-labs.com/K2_Lab_Power_Supply/index.htm

All documentation is provided at left side menu in the page.

Pay attention: i think that exist a bug in electronics now article. See the schematic of power supply (hand draw schematic), its corrected version.

If a switched mode is ok : h++p://www.elecfree.com/electronic/circuit-power-supply-regulator-switching-0-50v-5a-by-tl494-mj15004/

Thanks to all of you.

I have ellected the one with TL494 but momename how do I adjust current limiting? Read the article but there wasn't nothing about it!

Hi,
For the better quality of regulations (stability) vs load & line (& Temperature) changes...
K.

I think,
yes, but you see; its no more as a transistor & zener diode as hes Ie stabilizer...
K.

Yes but for an rf power amplifier an output voltage change in the class of milivolts, even 0.5v may not be a trouble.

Leaving alone the small ripple depended on temperature or load changes (in class-A amplifiers load is constant), do you think the simple zener-transistor psu above is clean in terms of noise or not?

Dr Om,
I think: yes, as wrote too, but Nois clening?
Surely not better as your AC-input, also I would see over all for apply good bypassings_ Elkos + parallel Ceramics...
Maybe Zener voltage need a ceramics too?
Good luck!
