Problem L3GD20 with VDDIO, when this pin is low by mcu

Hi Guys,

I want to disable/enable digital interface by VDDIOpin of L3GD20, But i can not be successful. I tried this pin pull down by my hand. But my power supply gave me high current warning. I use an accelerometer in same bus line, also its vddio pin is connected with vddio of gyro. I can pull Accelerometers vddio pin down correctly. I am thinking that
L3GD20 desgin is filed. (i tried on 2 L3GD20 separately )
Have you got any suggesion?

my design:
 

if you want to disable it , one option is to remove VDD and keeping VDD_IO at 3.3v.

this will not disturb the communication in other modules.
 

It's not good for me. I will use this pin for I2C recovery when communication stop in unintended consequences
