Hi all, I managed to complete the installation in vista home premium by switching the compatibility mode to window xp p2 and checking run as "administrator".

I got this error msg:

Failed to check out license 'hfss_desktop'.
Invalid (inconsistent) license key (FLEXlm Error -8)

Can anyone help or guide me to a correct installation steps?
Thanks!

hi, did you find a solution for your problem ?
if yes tell me how,please.
I am facing the same PB with my windows XP ?

if you have this problem, also, you have to do following steps:
if your installation is not work, you sure that you have to do "4" and "5" steps only.
1- sure that your installation steps are true.
2- copy/paste "license file" to "admin" folder in your installation path.
3- copy/paste "patch" and "Ansoftfix.exe" from your HFSS source to installation path.
4 - you have to run "patch" and "Ansoftfix.exe" as "Administrator" only.namely right click on them and set "Run as Administrator".
you have to first run patch and next run Ansoftfix.exe.
5- if again your installation doesn't work, you have to choice a path instead of "windows hard disk drive".for example you have to install your HFSS in "D" drive instead "C" drive.

sure that your HFSS will work...
