hello can you hellp me .iwas trying to design ring oscillator but i can not....if you can ...and you have a more information contact me
my email adress
iranutiran@yahoo.com

please .....please

just put odd number inverting stages together and for simulation supply into one of the nodes voltage spike (very narrow) which will get the circuit form equilibrium state

Even number of stage for differential structure can oscillate too.

thanks ...thanks..but i can not please send me a designed circuit.....with ads....please .....please...

I just attached schematic from Razavi's books.
For details, pls read oscillator chapter from Razavi's books "Design of Analog CMOS Integrated Circuits".

You might get an even number of stages to oscillate if you kick it right
and don't upset it, but it has no "will to live" particularly. Just a lucky
phase shift.

Using a prime number of stages is a good idea to avoid spurious modes
(for example, a nine stage oscillator could be as happy with 3 cycles
circulating, as one).

For the frequency you need go with differential gates. That way you can have even number of stafges and just cross output nodes everytime. look at leo_o2 pic and you have it
