i am having a set of readings(time vs current) in excel format,i can able to plot this in readings in matlab but i need to take FFT for tat current graph in matlab .......

You can do the FFT in Excel if you install the Analysis addin.
You can read the Excel file into Matlab and do the FFT in Matlab.
You can save the Matlab file as a CSV file and read that into Matlab ; and do the FFT

Attached is a short step-by-step tutorial which you might helpful.

Hope this helps.
