basic constraint manager setting?? and what is use of air gap??

Hi everyone,
i am using allegro PCB editor 15.7
i dont know
what is the basic constraint manager setting in 2 layer?? and four layer??
what is the air gap between the line
what is the use of air gap if air gap is means what will happen???

line to line spacing
line to pin spacing
line to shape spacing
line to via spacing
via to via spacing
shape to shape spacing
 

hi,

min line to line(track to track)-5mil
min line to pin-5mil
min line to shape-5mil
min line to via-5mil
min via to via-5mil
min shape to shape-15 or 20mil

if your trace width and airgap will go lesser than 5 mil means that will increase fabrication cost..so atleast we need to maintain these things

thanks for reply.normally i have been maintained airgap for double side at least 12 mil to 16mil
for single side 18 t0 20 mils
is it good or not???

that is fine..i told about the minimum values..you can follow any values greater than that..

for calculating (50 ohm) impedance we must know brd mateial,thickness,number of layers then only we can find trace width to match 50 ohm impedance
 
hi,

if you give theses inputs to fab house means (brd mateial,thickness,number of layers)they will give stack up details..otherwise we can find using hyperlinux or polar softwares..
