Simple solid state oscilloscope schematic needed

I wonder if there are other similar simple oscilloscope projects out there. I tried to search but I could not find any. Any links for a simple to make solid state oscilloscope? (around 30MHz max frequency would be nice)
 

hm... nice projects but too complex to my taste. A CRT real time oscilloscope would be much easier but I have not found any go more than 5MHz. 30MHz would be fine for me. These commercial crt real time oscilloscopes go up to 100MHz. How do they do it?
 

I am not sure, but it is some thing a trade secret.

Well What I understood from the different projects (all are digital) The overall performance depends on the AD conversion then time to put them on the display. There are certain ways they minimize the time by temporarily storing the data in some sort of buffer.

But for analog scopes it must be the switching of transistors and display circuitry, be very first.

Yes I am looking for an analogue oscilloscope. The first project is really simple and I like it. I was wondered if there are other also out there. Somple analogue oscilloscopes schematics are more difficult to find, even more difficult from analogue spectrum analyzers!

I have a commercial 350 MHz oscilloscope (TEK 485) which has about 35 years of age, and up to 1 GHz analog oscilloscopes have been built some years later.

You'll find "tons" of commercial instrument's reference manuals with complete schematics in the BAMA archives and other, particularly HAM related, sites.

Simplicity is of course an issue. Referring to a basic Hameg or other entry level instrument should keep it moderate.
 

Yes I think BAMA archive has a very good information too. Everything used to be transistorized back in 70-80, to there should be much info inside the manuals.
