The voltage of a fully-charged battery is somewhere around 14V, then it gradually drops under load to below 12V, and then the battery is dead ..
For the most of the time a load will “see” roughly 12.5V ..
If, for example, the load is a lamp – it really won’t matter, but in a special case it may matter, so find out if your load can work with this range of voltages ..
