USB Powered JDM Programmer

I do not understand why someone make this circuit when the JDM programmer working ok with the 9 pin D serial port connector. It is not worth the trouble to do all this.:D :D

the problem with jdm programmer now is more pc (laptop) not have serial port
i build PK2 lite (blueroomelectronics) its work fine.

guys, and if I'd want to use this USB Programmer just for EEPROM 24CXX? Schematic could be more simple?

Chek this one. a USB to RS232 can be used.

I have tried using USB to RS 232 DB-9 Converter ... IT didnt work out ..... I had that idea ,tired that cable.. but didnt work..... anyway mean while... I used some other way to make it done... The JDM link above works fine...
 

it work for me on IC prog just configure it as fallow:

on hardware configuration check Windows API and for I/O delay (22).
 

now i back to use pickit2 clone is better and fast :D
 

J2 is jamper for change VPP wen u change pic for 40 and 28 pin to under 18pin of pic cos it have different place off VPP pin...
