Hi. I have a problem with my homework in my AutoCAD class. I need to draw PCB in AutoCAD but I don't have any idea how to start it. I already have the schematic. The problem is I don't know how to draw resistor in 3D and other components. Also how to draw the board and pcb layout. WE only need to use AutoCAD. Anyone help me please ?

Hello,

it is actually possible to make a pcb from autocad. you don't need to worry about 3D. everything can be done in 2D. if this really is for a school project, you can send me a message and I will tell you more. I just need to know how complex your board is, what version of autocad you have, and what school your in. I'm happy to help those in school is why I ask

I don't really recommend using autocad for pcbs unless they are real simple circuits. If you need to make gerber, there is a conversion program called ACE 3000 ... there are a few others out there, but this one is the simplest one
