Hello Everyone, I am working with integrating a microcontroller and SMS technology for home security. Is that thing new!??? post your comments guys.... thnx....
I have develop one product basead in PIC12C508A (or PIC12F508) and Siemens A50 or (others Siemens mobiles) for local company in Brazil. Work fine since 04/2005. I planned send sms message too, but in this case I will swap the microcontroller !
For know more about the Siemens mobile phones, use search option in the forum...have may topics about this.
gorkin, I saw that Siemens phones do not work with text mode SMS. THey only work on PDU mode. Can you be kind enough to upload the routine of decoding and encoding of PDU to plain text.
Yes techie, You are correct. Siemens mobile phones support only pdu mode. I am work in develop c generic functions for use in any microcontroller.
I will upload the source code when I finished ok?
the main problem that am having is that, i want to let my microcontroller generate a certain code that the user will use for entry

If you dont get solution in the present thread then start a new thread/.
Check this topic, I started the same topic several years ago. Made the project and it's working perfectly using any microcontroller and Nokia 6610 phone. https://www.edaboard.com/threads/89563/
