Hi all,

I want to convert a .PCB file in P-CAD to .asc the ASCII form. Any suggestions PLZ!!

Thanks,
Vamsi.

Hi.

1. File=>Save as...
2. In file type window select "ASCII Files".
3. Save. (File extention will be .pcb too)

Good luck!

B.G,

Thanks for the reply. The thing is my customer wanted it in .asc format only can i rename it to .asc and send since it is converted to ASCII format..

Vamsi

I cannot tell, as I don't know, why converting to .asc format is needed
And I don't know what program uses it format.

What is your customer planning on doing with it?

If they are going to import it into another CAD program then tell us which one?

ASCII is ASCII whatever the file extension.

They wanted to import it to PADS layout.

Vamsi

Sorry, but PADS ASCII and PCAD ASCII are not compatible.

Thanks for all your valuable suggestions.. I will sure reply if i can find any other way to do that.

Thanks again,

Vamsi.

Vamsi115,

Were you successful in converting Pcad layout to PADS layout? If you did it, did you have any errors?

Thank you.
