Hi,

Had previously tried and failed to code the DS18B20 in Pic Assembler.

It seems such a complicated routine for such a simple function.

Have searched the web for code examples but have yet to find any that actually work.

Just hoped if someone out there has a working Pic Assembler program they would be good enough to let me have a copy of .

Thanks.

Hi Fidelis,

Many thanks for that link, had spent hours searching but never saw that site.

Your link to the site works ok and I downloaded the files which build fine and actaully run in the Simulator so feel confident it will work well when the sensors actually arrive.

Thanks again !

I have coded in Pic assembler in the past .But the only reason is because i was implementing a peripheral .I needed to have perfect timings to interface the pic with a real time system. It took me a month of hard work .I ended up with a 12 pages long perfect working code .If you are don't need that type of precision or the Pic you are using has enough processing power to deal with the design .Use C code .Don't waste your time .Learning something so tedious .That once you do it one time you will never do it again .!
