hi,everyone!can anybody can give some infomation about how to interface a mmc or sd card with a 8051 cpu?source code,card standard info and any other info will be wellcom.

mmc 8051

I interfaced MMC to AVR using hardware SPI and BASCOM AVR. You can try Sandisk website for pdf about MMC to motorola controllers. They have good Application notes. If you are intrested in Bascom AVR Code, mail me.

i think these info will help me!
AVR can access the card more easy,because 8051 have no SPI interface,maybe more difficult.maybe what must do is to simulate a SPI in 8051?am i right?

Cygn@l has 8051s with SPI, although the price is a weak point. Use software to simulate SPI is not so difficult (some C51 may have library).
