COULD ANYBODY HELP ME OUT FOR

Converting Altium (PROTEL) *.PCB/DDB/PCBDOC to Orcad *.MAX

pcbdoc viewer

Orcad Layout (MAX) has an importer built into it for importing Protel PCB files. You don't need to do any conversion outside of Orcad.

.ddb file format

In Altium save as Protel PCB v2.8, then import in Orcad Layout.

If it's a newer version of Orcad Layout, you don't need to save in 2.8 format. Newer versions will directly import 99SE files.

altium to orcad converter

I have a file which is in *.ddb format.

I have searched for the above file format: I found the following description.

Altium (PROTEL)-- *.PCB/DDB/PCBDOC
TARGET ----------- *.T2001/300*
EAGLE ------- *.BRD
ORCAD -------- *.MAX
UltiBOARD ---- *.EW/DDF
PROTEUS ----- *.LYT
SPRINT ------ *.LAY
QUICKROUTE ------ *.PCB
EASY-PC ----- *.PCB
EDWin ------- *.EDB/EPB
PCAD ------- *.PCB
GC-Prevue ------- *.GWK
BOARDMAKER------ *.PCB/B3P
PULSONIX ------ *.PCB

I have newer version of OrCAD V16.0. When i am trying to import the *.ddb format to convert it to in OrCAD file format, i am not able to convert it.

If you want, you can ZIP or RAR your Protel file and PM it to me. I'll see if I can convert it into a MAX file for you. At the very least, I can save it in a better format such as PCB or PCBDoc for you.

Your converted files have been sent as attachments to both your PM, and the address in your post.

The converted versions look OK to me, but if you see any problems let me know.
