bias tee tutorial

can anyone help with bias tee design... Frequency range of 500MHz - 10GHz. DC is 10V

Added after 22 minutes:

Hi,
My name is kanini.. i want to design a broadband Bias tee of 10dc, rf of 500MHz - 10GHz. at Zo= 50 ohm and ZL =150ohm.. there is a 50ohm transmission line at the RF .Please can you assist on hw to get values of L and C for the matching.

Thank you. tccanini@yahoo.com

Ansoft tutorial have a tee design and simulation.

Problems is always the parasitic resonance of the inductor.
* Choosing a low value results in good performance at high freqs but mediocre performance at lower freqs
* Choosing a higher value inductance with a parasitic resonance in the band of interest is also not useful
* Combining many inductors is feasible but this very bad performance RF-wise due to the interaction of all parasitic resonances

You should investigate using the coilcraft conical inductor series. Really broadband up to 40 GHz and without parasitic resonance!

bias tee value

Yes Radiohead, I designed one using coilcraft inductor.

ifeany... what is the current rate you need?
