Hi Friends
I Need details regarding the FPGA with DSP application. I need some
multipurpose FPGA Kit with all interface, dsp support etc ...
I am having doubt what is difference between the original xilinx board and evolutionary bord.
why there is soo much cost difference. i have seen the cost in avnet. can
any one suggest me some idea regarding this.

Thanks in advance
Muthamil

Hi,
I don't know what you mean by the cost difference. Unless the devices are with or without SW package and if they are using Virtex or Spartan devices.

It is not possible to answer to your question since you can do simple DSP funcitons with the cheapers FPGA board or if you need some very advance DSP functions, then you need to have a very expensive Virtex 5 device with lots of memory.

Cheers,
/Farhad

it depends on your requirements. what kind of interfaces you need and what kind of functionality you need from FPGA. if you can give precise details then its easy to answer you question.

Based on your budget you can select FPGA with inbuilt DSp blocks. or withput DSP blocks. If you chose FPGA WITH OUT DSP block then you might face timing closure or dsign fitting problem. You can also lookout for altera FPGAs.
