Dear all,

the following link takes you to a really interesting PIC PLC project (PIC16F648A based PLC project):

**broken link removed**

where you are provided with the PCB files for realizing the PCBs, photos of the project, etc. related to the project.

This project seems to have recently been posted. It includes a main board and extension boards. The main board provides 8 DC (5 V or 24 V) inputs and 8 relay outputs. The same applies to the extension boards, each one has the same 8 DC inputs and 8 relay outputs. The number of inputs/outputs can be extended as many as you want.

The thing is that the project will seem to take 15 months to complete. It will be explained one article per week basis and will be published within a magazine called ELECTRONICS WORLD.

Take care.

Myself :)

Hi.
Check this out cheap ready PLCs (boards) with PIC microcontrollers and with their program Parsic I think about 160 euro’s you can make easily a PLC.
The program has AND,OR,EXOR gates, up-down counters, multiplexers ,analog inputs, compare, pwm in/out, ADD/SUB/MUL/DIV, uarts, LCD output, monoflpos, delays, clocks etc.

thankyou for this useful links for making our own plc.

but what about if want to connect it through a HMI

In my opinion this project must be considered as an open source PLC project. This project seems to be providing the basics of how to desing and implement a micro based PLC. Every one can add some new features to this project. For example there is no user interface software to draw a ladder diagram for this project. Someone with the ability to do so may contribute to this project. And all other features may be added.

Take care.
