About Sensor
A range of miniature digital output magnetic sensors that combine high levels of sensitivity with low POWER operation has been unveiled by Toshiba Electronics Europe (TEE). On 10 Septermber 2008

The TCS10xxx- family of devices is seen as ideal for non-contact switching applications including open / close sensing for home appliances, digital cameras and mobile phones.

Devices in the new family are available as single- or dual-detection solutions. While the single type is designed to detect either north- or south-pole the dual type detects both north and south poles. Supplied in a UFV package, each sensor has dimensions of just 2mm x 2.1mm x 0.7mm.

The sensors use a pulsed-current rather than continuous-current operation to keep typical average supply current down to just 5.5µA. All of the devices offer high sensitivity - typical operating point (BON) and release point (BOFF) magnetic flux density ratings are 1.8mT and 0.8mT respectively.

The TCS10xxx devices are based on a CMOS Hall sensor solution and are available with push-pull and open drain output configuration, says the company.

Is it possible to detect heavy metals static equipment like parked vehicles, Docked Containers. Logically i am wrong but is there any way ?

Can i share same power Supply with ZigBee on single source

Is there any same low power consuming sensor with extended flux range ?

My reaserch is to develop wireless Parking/Container management system. I am in search of low power consuming (Like ZigBee) Sensor.

The existence of large metallic objects is sensed with inductive loops usually, e. g. in traffic monitoring. They are a kind of oversized inductive proximity switch, determining the loss of medium frequency, e. g. some kHz AC magnetic field. I think, the technique may be better suited for your project than any DC magnetic sensing with hall sensors, whatsoever.

Thank you very much for your reply. One more thing i would like to know
My aim is to develop Multistoried Wireless network Parking system so my preference for wirless networking is ZigBee for Mesh networking with wireless power supply as Zigbee runs with normal House hold battery for a long period.
The entire module will be placed in flooring middle of the single parking slot
My Question is ..
1. Can i share power source for both Zigbee and Hall Sensor for long lasting ?

2.For Range Considering below specifications..

The only expectable sensor signal is from modification of earth magnetic field plus an arbitrary magnetization of the car. Thus I basically doubt that you get an unequivocal sensor signal detecting the presence of a car. But I may be wrong.

A Zigbee or any other wireless transmitter respectively transceiver can't be continously operated due to the relative high power consumption of a receiver. A network operation is effectively excluded, you'll be limited to intermitted operation. Also the sensor device would most likely operate this way.
 

You don't need to communicate with the sensor (Zig bee) You just want to know when the car arrives and then leaves. right? Check out the tech. that Enocean uses. https://www.enocean.com/en/

It's the same frequency as car remotes and you can use the energy generated as the car passes to power the device. :idea:
