Hi,

Friends, I am new to this area and I have a question for you.

If I will receive a full place and route (after routing and all the procedures) design :

1) How do I know which layers any macro in my design used?

2) If I would ask this question before the place and route procedure begin how the answer to question no 1 would have changed?

Thank,

Tsahi

hi natg9,
Lef contains information about the all available layers, but user can restrict to some of the layers only, i think the second option to dump out the DEF and can check about the max layer used.
