Hi all,
In 98% of our designs, we do not use a silkscreen. When generating an ODB file, the silkscreen data that is on the components (from the library) is in the output at the sst and ssb layers. We send this ODB data to the manufacturer and tell him that, is case of any differences between the documentation and the ODB data, the ODB data is leading.
This causes a lot of confusion with our manufactures, because we state in our documentation that silkscreen is not required, but there is some present in the ODB data. (and in this case, the documentation is correct)
Does any one know, if it is possible to supress the silkscreen data in the ODB file?
