dear friends
anybody know anythings about sensors using in automatic door
best regards

These used to be doppler radar, driving by with your speed radar warning receiver would be trigged by these!

Other units uses a simple IR ray, and when broken will open door. These are in use on buses.

I am currently working with software for the door controller and our client use infrared sensors that are not susceptible to sunlight.

thats the problem with photo receivers they get saturated, you should use TSOP 1738 receiver so the transmitter signal has to be modulated at 36Hhz

Sensor manufacturers are optex and BEA.
