antenna fabrication

Dear All,

I have simulated a patch antenna using HFSS V11 the result gave me very good BW and radiation pattern, from here i am new and i have no idea how to start the fabrication, my question is how to layout the simulted patch antenna?

Thank you

patch antenna fabrication

my advice is to figure out how you intend to build th e patch and then you can decide how to export the dimensions from HFSS.

A PCB structure is different from a foil and tape and has different demands for example.

Hi tot
Import to some file such as .dwg or .iges
And make film/mask from it
As suggested by llololl you can use Orcad if your pcb manufacturer/ Film maker dont accept dwg or .iges etc. then convert your file to .pcb.

Dear Tot,

You can export the design into *.dxf file. Then import it in another software as Microwave office. From Microwave office, the imported file will need some boolean manipulations as it will be imported as shapes. Then export to either gerber or pdf depending on the way you will generate the mask.

Best Regards,
Mshafee
