y-z plane radiation pattern:

Hi
can anyone plz help me.....

how to design plot of xy-plane, xz-plane and yz-plane radiation patterns for copolarization (E theta).......in HFSS

thank you

elevation plane radiation pattern

hi,

it is very simple

Fix Phi(Φ=0), Theta (θ) is varied from -180 degree to +180 degree
Fix Phi(Φ= 90), Theta (θ) is Varied from -180 degree to +180 degree
Fix Theta(θ=90) , Phi (Φ) is varied from -180 degree to +180 degree

you will get all the planes now....
Is it the answer u wanted or u r searching for Copolar/Cross polar components?

xy yz xz plane

thanx a lot

hi chandregowda

it would be great if you could explain how to get co polar and cross polar components as well

regards

Re: Need help finding xy, yz, xz- plane radiation pattern fo

hi,

In Phi (Φ)=0, called azimuth plane , E-phi is copolar component and E-theta is crosspolar component
In Phi(Φ)= 90, called Elevation plane, E-theta is crosspolar component and E-phi is copolar component

how about in cst??how to find it??

Re: elevation plane radiation pattern

Hi
Thanks for the post.
Just want to confirm the order xy,yz and xz
XY-PLANE :Fix Phi(Φ=0), Theta (θ) is varied from -180 degree to +180 degree
YZ-PLANE: Fix Phi(Φ= 90), Theta (θ) is Varied from -180 degree to +180 degree
XZ-PLANE: Fix Theta(θ=90) , Phi (Φ) is varied from -180 degree to +180 degree
My order is right?
And if possible please let me know how to measure the IMPEDANCE BANDWIDTH if there are multiple
bands.
If there is single band, Impedance BW= (upper freq-lower freq)/center freq.
I came to know this through browsing. Is this right?
Please Reply me

Re: elevation plane radiation pattern

to chandregowda :

the elevation plane is when phi=0 or 90 while theta is variable
and the azimuth plane is when theta=90 and phi is variable

regards

Re: elevation plane radiation pattern

Guest1234:: When u simulate a planar antenna or any structure in ADS layout, U can do a Farfield calculation to get the radiation pattern. It will be opened in a new window with 3D visualization, left to the pattern, u can find options with tabs placed below. U should be able to find the options for planes in radiation pattern and Gain of the structure, Etc..

Regards.
