Problem with ADC as it has input range of 0-5V and the signal's range is 0-3V

If the signal voltage range is 0V to 3V and the input range of ADC is 0V to 5V, So ADC can’t generate full resolution of input signal.

The current situation is the op-amp is not installed at the front end of ADC.

How I can solve this problem?

Question about ADC

Wrong section I suppose..
But told that you could amplify your signal if you need or (better solution) find a 3.3V ADC pin to pin compatible with yours.
In each case you should change some HW on the board.

I can't modify last guy's design.

Can I use the gain control inside chip if this chip has this ability?

with ADC0804, by lowering to half of refrence voltage, i get full resolution at 0-2.5v at input to adc in one of my project.
So try to chnage the refrence volatge and get the results.
