I have to build a driver for Permanent Magnet AC servo Motor PMSM. I know that have to use a DSP processeor . I think i need 32 bit DSP with encoder interface and six PWM outputs. There are many companies that makes these DSP's.
Could any one help me in choosing the best one ?

This chips are turposely designed for that!
C2000™ High Performance 32-bit Controllers
TMS320C2000™ Digital Signal Controllers combine control peripheral integration and ease of use of a microcontroller (MCU) with the processing power and C efficiency of TI’s leading DSP technology. All C28x™ controllers are 100% software compatible and offer high-speed 12-bit Analog to Digital converters and advanced PWM generators.

Hi

Also see DSP56f8xx from freescale And DSPIC from microchip

All the best

... And don't forget the Blackfin from Analog Devices, too!

Use FPGA and use sliding mode control instead :D

you have these latest microchip 32 bit microcontrollers / dsp chips try using that

i vote for freescale dsp 58f323

I like Microchip. They let you order free samples. Saves a little money on prototyping...
