hello, every body

is there a dummy layer in diva to tell the extractor that i want to extract this area with rf models?????

as in the following url, there should be a layer called: "rfdmy" layer
**broken link removed**

but i can't find this layer in my virtuoso layout editor

any help?

thanx a lot

You can create this layer by yourself.

i don't understand u?

how to do that???

any document or help from u??

mohamedabouzied

You can add a layer to the technology file.
CIW->Technology File->Edit
Then you can modify the diva rule to use this dummy layer. For example:
rfdmy=geomOr("rfdmy")
rfgate=geomInside(gate rfdmy)

so with that i define rf gate for the mos only or what?

also i want to extract interconnects as RF

this command will do that????

and thanx for your replay

You can decide everything. If you just want to treat normal mosfets and rf mosfets differently, you can use the dummy layer to select the rf devices. If you want to treat interconnects differently, you can use the dummy layer to select interconnections.
To select devices, I prefer "geomInside" or "geomOverlap". To select interconnections, I prefer "geomAnd".

ok what is CELBOX layer ???? in diva???

is this the dummy rf layer?

i found the inductor surrounded with it...
