cell rise and rise transition

Can anybody tell me the difference between cell rise and rise transition?
 

I am not sure what you mean by "cell rise" ?

rise transition is the gradient/slope/slew_rate whatever you like to call of signal changing from 0 to 1 at output of cell.
 

In the .lib file (liberty file format), Each input pin of a cell had a delay lookup table like

cellrise(delay_template_7x7) {
index_1
index_2
... .. .
.... ...
}

rise_transition(delay_template_7x7) {
index_1
index_2
... ...
... ...
}


I guess both the lookup tables specify the delay. But what is the difference b/w them?
 

Read the Liberty user guide....Posted somewhere in the forum......
 

As per the liberty user guide, index_1 and index_2 on delay_template stands for input transition and total output capacitance load respectively.

See the figure attached...

Please correct me if I am wrong.
