phase interpolation

Hi, guys,

hi, Mohamed,

how are you ?

Now I am doing an analog phase interpolator. do you know something about this. I have some trouble about this.

First, the clock(coming from VCO) to be interpolated can be rail to rail or not?

second, I use traditional archiecture, but i can not get linear. i do not know how to correct it. would you give some idea about it?

and the bias of Vcn and Vcp should be the same of bias of VCO?

thank you very much.

phase interpolator

Is the phase interpolation the function

(1-a)*cos(2*pi*f*t)+a*sin(2*pi*f*t)

where a defines the range of phase interpolation?

This is obvious a multiplying function as seen in your lower schematic. But the inputs must be also be pure CW's. Otherwise the interpolation is not linear.

basic phase interpolation

sorry, rfsysterm, what is pure CW's?

thank you

phase interpolator linearity

gavin 168...

I have some doubt...how did u generate the Phase interpolator control signals...

I mean (ICTL[0].....ICTL[n-1])...

What kind of Logic did u use....

Can u be tell me briefly....

Thanks
