What are the power clamp and ESD?

Hello,

Can you explain me what are the power clamp and ESD and what's the relation betwen them.

power clamp

power clamp is referred to power supply I/O, and it often includes ESD clamp devices.

esd is used to clamp the esd strike voltage ( can be around 2 KV) and power clamp used to sink the large current.

Yes, For example if you see a simple power pad...circuit.

You will be having these two only. Clamp circuit and ESD.
