What is the minimum energy required for analog-to-digital conversion? Is there a lower limit?
Upper bound is infinity. That is because, the "analog" sample can always be "dissipated" before converting it to "digital" data. As such. corrupted "analog" sample means erroneous data. So, the upper bound is infinity. Meaning, you can spend all you energy in sampling and still not "live" to see the fruits. So that brings me back to the question. Is there a lower limit?

Re: Theoretical energy minima for analog to digital conversi

How do we go about computing that? As in, does it not depend on the topology of the "converter" itself? What say?
