X ray Image Detection

Hello everyone,

I have some questions about how to detect and segment an image obtained by X raying an object. Inside it there are rectangular objects which need to be measured. The cutting and selecting works fine, I am just looking for some literature on non-destructive testing by X ray and related image processing to be able to reference my work a little bit more.

Thanks a lot,

Tz

Re: X ray Image Detection

If the forms of the objects you want to find is simple (rectangular, not rotated), you should try to work in separated dimension. First try to find them horizontally, en then vertically.

Median filter in a rather good thing if you want to get rid of the noise without moving boundaries.

Good luck:D
