Hello
I am designing a circuit in IBM 0.5 sige5am technology and I have the following problems when conducting diva lvs check.

The design has a single mosfet. When the number of fingers of the mos is 1 then the lvs check gives netlist match.

However when increasing the number of fingers, for example I set this value to 3 the schematic netlist recognizes 1 device but the layout recognizes 3 devices and and the lvs check gives error.

I have searched through the manuals but I was not able to find solution.
If anyone can provide me his experience I would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hii,

M1<2:0> and only one fingure .

Regards,
Analayout.

Hi,

For fingers some processes need the device sources and drains to be merged.

I think by Using this statement in your control file, you should be able to clean off your design:-

LVS REDUCE PARALLEL MOS YES

Hope it helps!!!

Hi,

Try this option :
--------------------------
Options
parallel=yes
end

i tried the first option and it works!

I am going to try the other options.

So thanks for the help!

hi onlymusic16 and sandeep_torgal. where do I need to set parallel option. I didn't find the right file!!! thanks

Whenever you are running your LVS...you will have a LVS_Control file which will have all the option of choises and some rule file paths...etc...

In that you need to change the parallel reduction YES.
Proably this should be done by CAD guys...It's not in your hands...

Goto CAD guys ask them to change it. They may be forgot to do this.
In general it should be YES only. In some cases we use No option for Parallel reduction.

I can give you one more choise also. Go to designer and ask him to change the number fingers to your layout fingers. This will also helps. Correct if I am wrong.

you have to connect the gates together, the drains and sources each together...so as to have one gate, one drain and one source at the end....
that's if you don't change in your LVS deck options :)
