I found that pdf document i am new at ie3d and i am trying to find out what i can do with it and i am sharing, what i find, with u ; i hope it can help.
This Presentation just gives an general idea about the feature and application of IE3D for Antennas. But for step by step procedure U've to read IE3D manual which is well explained in an detailed manner.
Go thr Chapter 1 to 5 of the IE3D manual for Antennas.
well IE3D manual is as good as this one as far as I can think. It is not well written.
My experience is that IE3D is only good for planar structures with infinite ground plane. I have simulated some slot antennas using IE3D. They came very well and the speed was impressive. For finite ground plane it is not at all good.
hi ALL?
I think that for a good utilisation of IE3D you have to read the manual, it is very good and contains all details,
I know that it is boring to read all chapters but you have an index and a table of content that will help you to choose just what you need, to learn.
but the lecture of the chapter 1-3 is important to take the basics.
There is also some movies on the web site of zeland www.zeland.com.
it is very pedagogic and helpfull.
