bridge type thermocouple

Hi

I want to design a bridge circuit and amplifier for j type thermocouple.

I had seen a circuit with a in4148 diode as cold junction compensation

can any body help me design it or direct me to the article or a readymade circuit?

Regards
Nandhu

ina114 thermocouple

**broken link removed**

As 10V voltage reference you can use the µA723 voltage regulator - quite old IC, but still as good as new, and if you can't get your hands on the INA114 you can use any other, comparable instrumentation amplifier ..

thermocouple bridge

Thanks Ian

Shall I use a 2.5v reference? what modifications to be made?

Where can i find the calculations for the bridge circuit?

1n4148 thermocouple compensation

This "bridge" can be easily modified for 2.5V reference ..
To ensure the same conditions for the 1N4148 diode, reduce the resistance between VREF=2.5V and the diode from 27kΩ to ≈5.1kΩ, and you have to do the same for the voltage divider consisting of R6 (80kΩ) and R6+R7, but I will leave it to you .. R6 and R7 can remain the same, just reduce 80kΩ to suit 2.5V reference ..

Thanks IanP

Let me check it out and come up with the results.
