What is interleaving?

are u asking about frequency interleaving that is used in case of TV signal carriers (means picture signal carrier & audio signal carrier & colour subcarrier)
 

If for example I have two elements A and B with four multiples each. I would draw them as ABABABAB, or AABBAABB.
 

It is a method of arranging the fingers of two transistors which need moderate matching.

This method can also be applied on Resistors and Capacitors as well..
 

Matching of Transisitors need to follow few basic qualitative rules in the absence fof quantitative data from designers .They are :
1.coincidence.
2.symmetry.
3.dispersion.
4.orientation.
5.compactness.

In the dispersions rule ,transistors are to be uniformly distributed .so the gradient effects on tranisistors be nullified .And Interleaving is term coined for this rule.
