Hi to all,

I have problem with design of EMC square patch antenna can any one tell me the basic step for design this antenna.

First design patch antenna for your desired frequency.
Then design a transmission line(microstrip) of length lambada by 4.( remove ground plane of this microstip line)
You can place some part of transmission line on patch & see what happens. The advantage of this EMC antenna is you can change position of feed to get good result.

If i want to design the patch antenna, the due to square patch i can not apply transmission line theory because length and with is same so it will not resonate at desired frequency. so i have to go for the other model

go through this site and you can find the good tutorial on the microstrip antenna by HFSS simulation
