Texas Instruments have a large variety of linear and non linear standard regulators or LDO's. They also have fixed voltage regulators or adjustable voltage regulators.

wads the diff between a voltage regulator n a SWITCHING REGULATOR???
i was lookin at the below site .

it actually says its a voltage regulator in the Farnell catalogue book n its a switching regulator in dis site.(same model no. fr the catalogue)
