lm2577 sepic

Hi,
Can someone suggest me low cost monolithic boost converters for converting +5V to ±18V, Current required is 500mA.

Flyback regulator based on the LM2577-ADJ may be a good candidate for this job ..
Goto page 21+++ and have a look at it ..

Do you know any converter without transformer? Any inductor based design will do but transformers of those specs are pretty hard to find.

MC34063 from ON semiconductor is what you need. You will have to use 1 MC34063 for converting +5V to +18V, 1 for +5V to -18V. Inductors are needed.

Yes I thought of doing the same thing. But if there is any converter with dual ± outputs, it will best suit my requirements.

Thanks :D

I think I'll go with the MC34063 solution. Thanks guys.
