Hi,
I noticed some IC product gives the +-5% supply resuirements while more product need +-10% supply voltage tolerance.

I wonder in what conditions/applications, the +-5% supply tolerance is necessary?

Thanks

An ideal voltage source is one that maintains constant voltage when connected to a resistor however small the resistance may be. that is, a ideal voltage source must have absolutely zero resistance across its terminal. But this is not possible in practical cases , therefore the supplied voltage may vary upto specified say 5%.

In Digital ICs, even though if the supplied voltage varies due to the above said condition, the IC must have sufficient voltage to recognise a logic 1.that is the ICs can work with voltage supplies that does not exceed the 10% tolerance.....
