delta-sigma dead band

Hello,

I'm going for a job interview and a big part will be questions on delta-sigma A/D converters. I am wanting to prepare and would appreciate some feedback as to what might be asked.
BTW, it will be telephone interview at first.

Ps I am familiar with the basic principle, i.e. noise shaping, quantization noise, oversampling.......but am looking for questions regarding the implementation of SD converts.....what architectures, nonlinearities, error sources......

- In a 2nd order sigma-delta modulator, what is the main tradeoff that determines the feedback coefficients?

- In a first order sigma-delta modulator, what is the relationship between quantization error, integrator DC gain and input signal level?

1) What is dead band zone and how can you reduce that ?

2) What are the pros and cons of higher order SD architecture ?

3) What is the lowest allowable quantizer gain ?

4) What is the relationship between OSR and SQNR ?

5) What kind of filters are suitable for single bit stream SD and why ?

6) What is ditering...how does it affects the SNR of the signal ?
